Demonstrator Training Support Program December Blog Hop

Hello, fellow bloggers. For Decembers Thank You Card Blog Hop, I choose to use ENJOY THE MOMENT STAMP SET that came in my swag bag for OnStage. When I opened up the package and saw the stamp, I was less than thrilled. What was I going to do with this stamp! However, I started using the stamp set and have fallin in love with the stamp set. I tried to look up the names of the seed pods but was unsuccessful. The only pod name I know is the Poppy Pod (it is the taller stamp with the three pods).

I want to thank Cindy Brumbaugh (cindyleebeedesigns.com) for the fold design and inspiration for Decembers Blog Hop Card.

Supplies needed:

Measurements:

Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ on the 8-1/2″ side. Cut 1-1/4″ along the score line on each side and cut away the rectangle flap by cutting at 1-1/4″ on each side. In Good Taste DSP: outside panel 2-3/4" x 4", inside panel 4" x 5-1/4", inside 1-1/4" x 4".

Instructions:

1. Fold card base in half with the smallest rectangle to the front of the card.

2. Adhere the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP to the inside of your card using multipurpose liquid glue.

3. Using Misty Moonlight Stampin' Pad stamp the inside sentiment. Center the sentiment in the inside of the card and adhere using liquid glue.

4. Stamp THANKS on to the DSP for the front of the card in the upper right hand corner using Misty Moonlight Stampin' Pad. Adhere to the front panel of the card using liquid glue.

5. Stamp the seed pods on to scrape Very Vanilla cardstock, using Night of Navy Stampin' Ink, Misty Moonlight Stampin' Ink and Seaside Spray Stampin' Ink. Fussy cut out (hand cut) the images.

6. Use Liquid glue adhere the poppy pods to the left hand side of the card front flap.

7. Adhere the Misty Moonlight pods onto the poppy pods using mini glue dots.

8. Using mini dimensionals adhere the Night of Navy pods on top of the Misty Moonlight pods.

9. Tie a small bow using Misty Moonlight ribbon and adhere using mini glue dots.

Project Recipe:

Using a paper trimmer cut a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card base out of Very Vanilla. Score at 4 1/4" and fold in half.
For the inside of your card you will need to cut a 8" x 5" piece of Very Vanilla card stock and score at 2", 4" and 6".
Cut a Early Espresso card mat measuring 5 1/4" x 4". Glue the mat to the front of your card base. Only glue the outside edges of the mat to your card base.
Cut a 5" x 3 3/4" piece of Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP (I used the striped paper). Glue the stripped DSP paper to the Early Espresso mat. Only glue the outside edges.
Cut a 5" x 2" pieces of Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP ( I used the pumpkin paper). Adhere this piece to the stripped paper using glue. Make sure to glue only the outside edges.
Using the largest layering circle die cut out a scalloped circle from your card base (1/2" from the top and 1/2" from the left side of your card (I measured from the Early Espresso mat towards the middle of the card). You will need to run it through the Stampin' Cut & Embossing Machine about three times to go through all the layers. Save your extra pieces, we will use some of them later.
Using the Stamparatus, stamp the sentiment My heart is grateful for you on to the left hand side of your 8" x 5 " piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Fold your score lines started on the left hand side. The first fold will be a mountain fold (the peak of the fold will be towards you), the second will be a mountain fold and the third will be a valley fold ( the peak of the fold will be away from you).
Glue on the outside edges of the left handed 2" piece (you do not want glue where the hole is on your card base). Adhere this to the inside of your card base. I lined up the glued edge with the score line of the card base. Now fold the card and add glue to the right hand panel. Close the card and it will adhere to the card base.
Using the Beautiful Autumn stamps (these are 2 step stamps, meaning there is an outline stamp and then a stamp that colors the inside of the image) stamp the outline of the maple leaves in Merry Merlot Ink (your will need 6). Now using second generation stamping (ink up the stamp that shades the inside of the image with Merry Merlot and stamp once on a scrap piece of paper and then stamp the inside of your image. It lightens up the color so you can see the detail of your maple leaf).
Now stamp 6 oak leaf using the outline stamp and Mint Macaron ink. Now stamp the inside of the leaves using second generation stamping.
Using Early Espresso Ink stamp the outline for 6 acorns. Stamp the inside of the acorn with crumb cake using second generation stamping. Now use Soft suede ink and stamp the top of your acorns (I did not do second generation stamping on the tops. I wanted the tops to be dark).
Now punch out your Maple leaves, Oak leaves and acorns (if you do not have the punches you can cut them out by hand).
Die cut out (8) Mossy Meadow leaves using the Forever Flourishing dies.
Die cut out one of the Gold arched leaves from the same die set.
Stamp Thank You using Early Espresso Ink onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Fussy cut out the sentiment (hand cut around the sentiment).
Decorate the inside of your card with two of the Mossy Meadow leaves, one maple, one oak leaf as well as one acorn. I cut off the stems of the leaves and added a little glue to the bottom leaves and adhered the leaves below the sentiment. Glue down the maple leaf, oak leaf and acorn.
Using the largest plain circle die and the leftover Very Vanilla scalloped circle you are going to die cut the scalloped edges off the circle.
Take the leftover Early Espresso scalloped circle and the second largest scalloped circle die and cut out a smaller Early Espresso scalloped circle. Glue the Early Espresso circle to the Very Vanilla circle.
You are going to close your card (front side up), add glue to the right hand side of your circle (do not glue the left hand side of the circle) then lay this piece down in the hole. When you open your card the left hand side of the circle will pop out of the hole.
Decorate the Early Espresso circle, starting with the Mossy Meadow leaves. I cut of the stems, and glued the bottom leaves on to the circle.
Using glue dots I adhered the gold leaves to the top of the circle.
Adhere the maple leaves, oak leaves and acorns to the circle as shown on the card photo using glue dots.
Tie a bow in the Pool Party Shear ribbon and adhere to the top of the gold leaves. I used mini glue dots.
Use mini dimensionals and adhere Thank You to the bottom front of your card. Now decorate with one maple leaf and oak leaf, I used glue to adhere the pieces. I used a mini dimensional to adhere the acorn .

Your card is now finished.

Father's Day Card

Hello, everyone. Thank you for stopping by to take a look at this super easy Father's Day card. I was looking at my Designer Series paper and realized I have very little masculine paper. I found this great black and white design from Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper (2020 Sale-A-Bration), so black and white it is.

Supplies needed:

Thoughtful Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set (English) [152290]
A Good Man Cling Stamp Set [149270]
Stitched Shapes Dies(retired) [145372]

Project Recipe:

Cut a card base out of basic black card stock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score at 4 1/4". The fold will be at the top.
Cut 2 Golden Honey Specialty paper mats at 5 1/4" x 4". Adhere one to the inside of the card and one to the front of your card using snail adhesive.
Using black card stock cut 2 of the second to the largest stitched circles (2 1/2").
Cut one, 5 1/2" by 2" piece of black card stock for the inside of your card and one, 5 1/4 x 1 1/4" piece for the front of your card.
Center the 5 1/2" x 2" piece of card stock and adhere using snail adhesive to the inside of your card.
Adhere the 5 1/4" x 1 1/4" piece of black card stock to the front of your card about 1/2" from the bottom of the DSP piece.
Using WW card stock cut one- 2nd to the largest stitched circle (2 1/2"), two- 2nd to the smallest stitched circles (2").
Then cut one- 5" x 1" piece of WW card stock.
On the largest circle stamp the sentiment from A Good man using Memento black ink. Then stamp one heart on either side of the sentiment using the heart from the same stamp set.

Adhere the sentiment to the inside of your card, centering it to the black mat.
Now stamp the man with the boy on his shoulder onto one of the ww stitched circles and stamp the man holding the little girl onto the other stitched circle. Using black Memento ink.
Next adhere these images to the black stitched circles.
On the 5"x 1" stamp the chain from the Thoughtful Booms stamp set across the middle of the paper. I went all the way across but it is not necessary as the two circles will cover up the right side.
Next stamp the You're the Best sentiment from A Good Man below the chain about 1/2" from the left side of the paper.

Adhere each stamped WW stitched circles to the large black stitched circles.

Adhere the 5" x 1" WW stamped piece to the front of the card layering it onto the black 5 1/4" x 1 1/4" piece.
Next ahere the circle with the man holding the girl onto the front of your card using snail adhesive. It should be about a 1/4" inch from the bottom of your card and about 1/8" from the right side of the card.

Use 2 dimensionals and place them on the left side of the other circle and adhere to the front of your card about 1" from the bottom of the card and 1 1/2" from the right side of the card.

Morning Rose

This was a fun easy card to make. I hope you enjoy the card.

Supplies needed:

Project Recipe:

Using Thick Whisper White (WW) card stock cut your card base at 5 1/2" by 8 1/2." Score at 4 1/4".

*Very Vanilla would be pretty to use as well.
Using Night of Navy card stock cut 2 mats, 5 1/4" by 2". Use snail adhesive, adhere one piece to the mat on the left side of the card and the other to the right side of the card. There should be a boarder around the card and down the middle.
Using Pressed Petals DS paper cut 2, 5" x 1 3/4" pieces. Using snail adhesive adhere one to each of the Night of Navy mats on the front of your card. There should be a boarder of night of navy around the DS paper.
Cut a piece of night of navy card stock to 4 1/4" x 2". Using the Big Shot and the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder, emboss the Night of Navy card stock.

Using the Linen Thread wrap it around the embossed piece 3 times and tie a small knot in the back. Spread the 3 layer apart.

Using Tombow glue, center the embossed piece and glue to card front.
Using the Flowering Foils Specialty DS paper cut out one of the flowers that has two roses attached together.

I then colored the cut out. I highlighted the leaf veins with Dark Old Olive and colored the rest of the leaves with Light Old Olive.

Next I colored the middle of the flowers with Dark SO Saffron.

Then I moved on to the flowers. I outlined the flower petals and veins with Dark Night of Navy Stampin Blend marker and then colored the rest with Light Night of Navy. I did one or two petals at a time so that the Dark Night of Navy would be wet and colors would blend.

I used Stampin Dimensionals to adhere the flowers to the front of the card.
Card inside:

Cut a piece of Night of Navy card stock 5 1/4" x 4" and adhere to the right inside of the card using snail adhesive.
Cut a 5" x 3 3/4" piece of WW card stock.

Cut a single rose from the edge of the Flowering Foil DS paper and color (the same as the flowers for the front of your card).

Using Tombow glue center flower and adhere to the bottom of the WW piece.
Using the Make Today Amazing sentiment from the Rise and Shine Stamp set, stamp the sentiment in the center of the WW piece using Night of Navy Ink.

Adhere this piece to the Night of Navy mat on the inside of your card.

Your beautiful card is now finished.

Impossible Mother's Day Card

Hello ! Welcome to my very first Blog. Please bare with me as I learn how to blog. I hope you have as much fun making this card as I did.
I have wanted to make an impossible card for some time now and was a little intimidated by the instructions. I found a YouTube video and discovered the card is very easy. I thought it would be the perfect card to use the Ornate Suite, Strong and Beautiful sentiments and Beautifully Braided punch.

Supplies needed:

Silicone Craft Sheet [127853]
Multipurpose Liquid Glue [110755]
Big Shot(retired) [113439]
Soft Suede Light Stampin' Blends Marker [146874]
Mini Glue Dots [103683]

Project Recipe:

Template Included.
Cut card base at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" out of Crushed Curry paper.
Score at 2 1/8 " on the (4 1/4" side).

** There is a mistake on the template it states score at 2 1/4" it should state score at 2 1
/8"
Cut a line on the 5 1/2" side at 2 3/4" to the score line. The cut will be in the middle of the long side.

Turn card to other side and cut two lines at 1 1/4" to the score line at both ends.

Take the card base and face the side with the single cut towards you and with your right hand flip the right hand side of the card down and towards you.

I then cut the flap that stands up down to 2 1/2" x 1 1/2"
Using the template cut two mats out of the Ornate Garden Specialty DS paper.
Using Tombow glue, glue the DS paper mats to the card base.
Cut a 1" by 5 1/4" piece of crushed curry card stock. Use the Beautifully Braided punch and punch out the braid.
Using Tombow glue, glue braided piece to front of card about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the card.
Stamp three of the daisies from the Ornate Style stamp set onto white card stock.
Color the middle of the daisies with the Light Soft Suede Stampin' Blend Marker. I outlined the daisies with Dark SO Saffron and colored the rest of the flower using the Light SO Saffron. (I now wished I would have colored the daisies with the Crushed Curry Marker).
I highlighted the veins in the leaves with Dark Granny Apple Green and colored the rest of the leaf with Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blend markers.
I then hand cut out the daisies and leaves.
I used the small stylus on the Take Your Pick tool and the Silicone Craft Sheet and I rubbed the stylus over the dailies and leaves to give them some curl.

Use a dimensional and adhere one daisy to the lower left corner of the card. Use glue dots on the two remaining daisies and leaves and cluster near the first daisy.
Stamp Happy Mother's Day from the Strong and Beautiful stamp set on a scrap piece of Crushed Curry card stock using Black Memento Ink. Fussy cut out the sentiment and sponge edges with Crushed Curry Ink, Adhere to card diagonally using mini dimensionals.
Cut a 2 7/8" x 1 1/8 piece of Crushed Curry card stock and round the corners. Sponge edges with Crushed Curry Ink. Stamp sentiment from the Strong and Beautiful stamp set, in the middle using black Memento Ink.
Using the Big Shot die cut out the 2" x 3 1/2" ornate layers frame, using Ornate Garden DS paper.

Glue the sentiment to the above DS paper.

Then use dimensionals to adhere to the 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 tab that is standing up on your card.

You're card is finished. I hope you had a great time making this card.
